For great-quality images in any light, the PowerShot S200 uses Canon’s HS System: a unique combination of a high-sensitivity sensor and powerful DIGIC 5 processor. A bright f/2 lens and maximum ISO 6400 sensitivity helps you keep shooting even when light levels drop, capturing the ambience of the occasion without using flash or a tripod.
Versatile lens
A 24mm 5× zoom offers tremendous creative flexibility. Capture those big skies along with every detail in the foreground when shooting landscapes, or zoom in to pick out individual subjects and get closer to the action. ZoomPlus takes you even closer, increasing your zoom power while maintaining sharpness and clarity.
Manual control made easy
Take control of your images with a range of manual and semi-automatic features. Customise the PowerShot S200’s Lens Control Ring for easy adjustment of image parameters like aperture, shutter speed and focusing.
Intelligent IS
Combat camera shake and capture sharp, detailed images and movies. Canon’s optical Image Stabilizer with Intelligent IS compensates for unwanted camera movement, and automatically picks one of seven modes according to shooting conditions.
Wi-Fi and Image Sync
Connect and share your images with your smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi or send them directly to popular social-networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter via CANON iMAGE GATEWAY. Record high quality HD movies at 720p resolution, with optical zoom and stereo sound. A dedicated Movie Button allows quick and intuitive access to video capture. An HDMI-CEC connection enables footage to be watched and controlled on your home TV.
Creative Filters
Add your own look and feel to an image with the PowerShot S200’s Creative Filters. Choose from photographic effects, like Fisheye, Miniature and Toy Camera, to more traditional Monochrome and Colour Accent filters.
